What Mods Should I Choose?
Earlier in 2010, I lost my dad, and he left me his 2010 F150 crew cab Lariat. But Im only 17, and I only know kinda the basics of what goes on under the hood. Anyways, I have about $1,000 to spend, and I wanted to know what i should put on the truck? I'm more worried about looks (and sound) then performance... I know, kinda superficial, but I'm just being honest. I was thinking, to start, an exhaust system, but do you guys have any recommendations? anything will help. Thanks a lot for helping if you can

Sorry for your loss.
I think that one of the most significant changes to a trucks appearance is wheels and tires. I don't like chrome, but with the color of your truck and the chrome grille I think a nice set of chrome rims would look good. As for exhaust I can't recommend one because I haven't chosen which one I want yet. Do a search on here for some of the brands like flowmaster,Borla, corsa,or magnaflow and you'll find people opinions on them. Don't be ashamed for wanting your truck to look good. A lot of us do mods that are for looks and not performance.

Since you posted a picture of MY truck stating it's identical to yours and you're wanting ways to improve your appearance, what exactly are you saying about my truck pal!?? Kidding.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

sorry for your loss! losing a parent is never easy!!
as for your truck, i would level the front a little and throw on some larger all terrain tires and let it ride. very simple mods and they change the looks of any truck dramatically.

Sorry about your dad man thats always a hard thing to deal with.
Beautiful truck you got though. I would recommend to you a 2" level since it is 4x4, and possibly some bigger tires. As for exhaust i have a cherry bomb si/do and it sounds amazing. Flowmaster and magnaflow also make very affordable and great sounding systems for these trucks. Also you should think about HID headlights and foglights, and LED reverse and tailights too. Just search around the forum, you can find just about anything and everything about your truck.

Sorry for your loss. That really sucks big time.
IDK if you work or not. I would wait til you have more money saved up and do this properly. Do a lift, nothing to crazy, like a 2" or 4". Buy some different wheels and tires. Your truck would look great with machined wheels and nice tires. Then do exhaust. You can get a great sound without headers and spending a lot. Go to a few local shops and see what they quote you on changing the muffler and doing a dump behind the axle or wherever. I had this done on my raptor with a Flowmaster 40. Cost me $70 with labor! A cold air intake will also help make the exhaust tone more aggressive. Just do a lot of shopping around online for good prices, they are out there. Good luck.
