What info do I need to sell a SCT Tuner?
So i have this SCT tuner complete with tunes from VMP that i had for my 2010 FX4 5.4l and since my new to me truck is a 5.0l It's incompatible.
What info would I need for a potential buyer? It's unmarried with 5 unlocks remaining but I have no idea what the strategy code was and the truck is long gone. Anyway to figure this out? Or do i just have an expensive code reader now? lol

Main thing is it's unmarried from your truck so somebody else now can use it, either with prelaoded tunes or custom, depending on which model SCT tuner you have.
So long as you put the truck back to stock tune via program vehicle, restore to stock option, that would have unmarried it from your truck so now can be used again on another vehicle.
And long as the new truck isn't a 15 model, you can use it on your new truck with either a new custom tune or one of the preloaded tunes, depending which model you have.
The tuner is HOW you upload a tune to the truck, how well the truck runs is depending entirely on who WRITES your tune if that makes sense.

Thanks for the info FM,
I just thought that since my SCT already has custom tunes for a 2010 5.4l that it would be easier to sell to a person who had the same truck/engine combo.
My new (to me) truck is a 2012 with a 5.0....

Well that makes a lot more sense. Not sure what the heck I was thinking.
Thanks FM and Yamaha for smartening me up. Guess I thought that once a certain tuning company got a hold of the programmer it couldn’t be used by anyone else.
Thanks again
