I have a 2010 f150 xlt. Im tryn to wire some toggle switches to light up when the dash lights come on. anyone know which fuse to tap? Dont really want them on during the day.

Pop out the dimmer switch on the dash, I believe it is a purple wire with a grey stripe. Could be wrong so test the wire first.

Or tap into an illumination wire on any of the components that make up the dash/console that illuminate when the lights are on.

If you have the 4x4, pop out the 4x4 selector switch and the illumination wire is their. If you have the 4x2, pop out the useless coin holder and you will find the 4x4 switch wiring harness plugged into the back of it. That's how it is on my 2012 4x2 XL. I used the purple wire for my volt gauge illumination. Volt gauge replaced the coin holder.
