Default What harness is needed for retrofit headlights?

Just got a set of retros, ordered a set of morimoto three5 from retrofitsource, ordered the h13/9008 bixenon harness, is that right? Or should I have done the oem f150 harness? The h13 harness has high beam outputs, kind of confused

The f150 harness is used for converting to oem hid headlights. You should just need h13/9008 harness

I figured as much. How does the high beam part work, plug into the shroud?

The high beam will be a electromagnet that pulls in the bulb to project the light up. It is built into the bulbs. So it will be one bulb like you have now.

If it's a true projector retro fit then it's actually a shield and a solenoid moves the shield out of the way to expose the whole bulb.

What you are describing is a PnP bi-xenon kit that people put in their stock headlights without projectors.

OP, there should be a lead from back of headlight that will plug into a plug on the harness.

It's all really easy and labeled really well.

Pics of your retros?

Still in the mail, but they are morimoto d2s projectors in a HD housing, painted with demon eyes

Awesome setup then like rescue said the high beam will be a shield the moves out of the way to allow the full light of the hid to project forward.

Yah I understand, just trying to understand the harness. Never had a single harness with 4 plugs.

Yea i believe the 4 wires are for ground, constant 12v, trigger wire, and your high beam shield

No its got 2Xplugs, like one goes into the ballast and I'm assuming the other is to activate the shield. Guess well see when the headlamps get here
