Tying to wire led strip lights inside bed and not sure of wires... Looked everywhere and unsuccessful.

Positive color wire?

You can go off of your 7 pin harenss under the truck, the 12v is orange, and the ground is white. But the constant 12 v needs the relay and fuse put in, and it's only hot with the truck on (or key forward)

Is this your tail light hook up? Cause none of them are hot unless you hit the brakes or the turn signals.

Are you sure you want to tie into the tail lights or do you mean the cargo light?

Cargo light is located on driver's side of truck (front or back door). Its a gray wire with a violet stripe.

I'm not really electrically savvy, just know simple basics. I know these will remain on once lights are on but dont draw much.

Until I know exactly how to tie them into a switch it will work for now. I do like that when a door is opened, say jumping out quick the lights activate and I'll be able to see at night under cover.

If anyone can draw me a diagram how to run both lights to a switch connected to a constant hot wire I'd greatly appreciate it.

Only way to get a true hot wire with a switch is to tap into the battery with an inline fuse. Or off the fuse box that has a constant hot.
