Default 2011 fx4 running boards, anyone running after market?

What are you using for running boards on you 2011 fx4?

Dealer has FX4 I am looking at but it has no running boards. I like the factory board but the price is crazy for them through the parts department.

I'm a fan of the Nerf bars instead of the running boards.

+1 on the amp reasearch power steps. I have them on my 2011 screw ecoboost and love them. Makes it real smooth getting in and out and keeps the nice lines of the truck without bulky steps in the way.

Google the Nfab bars for a cool off road look. I have the factory fx4's and for some reason they seem (at least to me) a bit too close to the ground. IMO.

i also thought they were to close to the body and didnt want others getting into it kicking the jam wearing the paint off.

does anyone know if the amp research boards installed with a simple molex plug because of the fact they are on platinum up or do you still have to splice wiring on the fx4

Seriously huh? That's why I found the Nfab bars they're about 350 ish for the 2011 and they tuck against the body super nice. I like the amps but they're just to expensive of an upgrade for me. I'll probably end up selling my oem fx4steps later on down the road.
