Default 2010 FX4 5.0L wont start after fueling

Yesterday morning I fueled my truck and it did not start on the first try. I had to pump the gas pedal to keep it going. After that the rest of the day it started just fine on the first try. This happened a week ago Sunday when i fueled the truck as well. I had probably 1/8th of a tank left yesterday and about 1/4 tank the previous time.

Anyone had a similar issue> Just trying to get information before I call the dealer, since they are over 60 miles away.

Thank you.

Have you taken note of your starting habits. Fuel may not be the issue, but fueling might. You start your truck, drive to the gas bar, shut off the truck and pump your gas. 5-10 minutes later you start your truck again. So my question is, Would you normally, or any other time between fuelling's, shut off your truck for this short period of time and try and start it again?

I guess what I am getting at is maybe your truck still pumps a little fuel after it shuts off and if you don't start it for a long time after, the excess fuel dries up. But if you shut off and start very shortly after the extra fuel is still there. A little flooding going on.

Just a thought....

maybe fuel canister purge valve assembly. the way to test is if your truck is starting fine, turn it off, then take your fuel inlet filler (located under rear drivers side seat) and then take it out, and see if it has trouble starting. im sure there are lots of threads and videos on this problem because i had it before
