Default well my tailpipe problems seem to be solved!

A few days back I wrote a post about needing a tailpipe for my loud flowmaster muffler. Well a few members suggested I call local muffler shops, parts suppliers and check the internet. Well after calling everywhere, hearing crazy prices from muffler shops to custom bend a tailpipe(@$200), and searching everywhere for a tailpipe on the internet I came up empty handed, UNTIL I had a idea. I began checking out all the major exhaust brands that had a single exhaust system, the closest match seemed to be gibson, then dynomax, then flowmaster. So I called there customer service line and told them I needed a to buy a tailpipe because I bent mine, All 3 brands went out of there way to speak to there manager and get me pricing on just the tailpipe and tip. Well gibson came back with the best price and a screaming deal I thought. $59.95 for the tailpipe and exhaust tip. So I ordered it! I hope this solves my droan and takes the exhaust tone down a bit. I figure adding the tailpipe is gonna be better than the way it is now, just dumped under the bed of the truck. So what do you guys think?? Will the truck quite down??

It should lessen the drone a decent amount. The volume will stay relatively same, but it will be farther away from the cab so there will be less volume in the cab. Was the Gibson tailpipe price for stainless or aluminized?

its alluminized with stainless tip. I didnt want to spend the extra $$$ on stainless and have it not work and the truck still be too noisy for me. So I bought the alluminized for now, If it lasts 3 to 5 yrs and then I gotta buy stainless, I think I got my moneys worth. The tailpipe itself was priced at $32 and change, and the tip was $27 and change.
