Default weird sand/rock sliding noise in dash

Anytime that I have a momentum change-starting/stopping quickly, turning-ot sounds like sand or rocks or something behind my dash. Like behind my touch screen or maybe a little below that. It's definitely not a water sound, more like small rocks. Before I (attempt) to take my dash apart, because I simply cannot handle this noise anymore, has anyone had a similar situation or know what this may be? It's quite frustrating. It's a 2013 fx4 screw. Thanks

My FX4 is silent as can be, but I have experienced what your speaking of in another vehicle I owned. Opened the dash and found a handful of screws sliding around in an indent, worth a shot opening it up.

Never heard anything like that. Do you have small kids, I ask because something inadvertently may have been dropped down into one of vent outlets..my best guess

No kids, but I just bout the truck used a few weeks ago so who knows. However,it seems like the noise just started, but maybe I just never noticed it. I guess I'll take a shot at opening it up and hope I don't break something.

Had something similar with a 2004 Expedition that I just got rid of, it sounded like a bunch of ball bearings rolling around in the dash/center console area. I could never pinpoint where it was coming from, and never got around to taking the thing apart enough to figure out what it was. I also had an issue in that with it not putting enough heat out to the floor so I think it may have caused a blockage of the blend door or something. Luckily, in my F150 I don't have the same issue.

Anyone with much experience removing these panels? I thought it would be easy, but I am apparently going about it the wrong way. Do you think this is something a dealership would look at for me? the truck only has 30k miles.

Well sorry to bring back an old thread, but I took the dash, console, everything I could think of off, and I can't find ANYTHING that would make this noise. Does anyone know if this is something that may be covered by a warranty? I don't know what else to do. I can't take the noise anymore.

Welp, I finally brought it in. They found a few bb's in the dash. But they said they can't look any deeper because does won't pay for it. Quite frustrating because I guess now there is nothing I can do about it and it's still making the noise just as bad. Any other suggestions?

Second dealership was awesome and dug deeper. They said they found thirty bb's, an ink pen, a .22 And .40 casing and three nickels. Lol. Sounds like the previous owner of my truck was doc holiday.
