I also had this happen on my 2010 scab. This was after the first snow we got this year. I played with the door a few minutes and it would not work. I went to get some WD-40 to try and when I got back it worked....

I never did spray any WD-40 in it and its been fine ever since.

I bought my 2010F150 Scab in Dec 2009. My left rear door ajar notice has come on at least 6 times in the past 30 days. In reading the forum about the problem I find it hard to believe that the big F coy has not come up with a solution to the problem. I sure hope the new sensor when installed fixes the problem. It is to bad a Spokesperson for the F coy has not put out a bulletine on how to fix the problem. A trip to the dealer is an inconvenience.

Hey I know this is an 09-present section but when I searched for "Door Ajar" this is the first thing that came up. This is exactly the problem I have been having with my 06 for the past month. I have owned my truck since new and have never had this happen before now. After almost 4 years it's not really a big deal for me, but your trucks are brand new! I'll give that WD a try and see what happens.

Right, like I want to bring my truck back to them.
X2, I discovered some dirty fingerprints in the roof liner of both passenger side of my Lariat Screw. I think it was the service guys fixing the liner as they werent lined up with the weather stripping.

This just started happening to me yesterday on the left rear door of my 2010 Lariat Super Crew. Did a search and found this thread. A few shots of WD40 in the latch, a few door slams, and I'm back in business!

BTW, can't believe all the hits I got when I did a search for "F150 rear left door ajar"

Thanks for the tip!
