It has happened to me twice now.
In the morning on my way to get into my truck to go to work,if the temperature outside is below freezing and If I open my suicide door to put something in the back seat of my 2010 f150 supercab when I start the engine a warning will come on the dash that the left rear door is ajar.
Ive tried fiddling with the latch and reclosing door but to no avail.
After the cab gets warmed up the light will go out and the locks auto lock.
Is there somewhere that is wet and should be lubricated.I havent talked to the dealer about it yet i thought maybe it could be a simple fix.
Any input would be appreciated.

Not sure if it would work but couldn't hurt except lose your presets on your radio. Try disconnecting your battery and connecting it back, reset the ECU.

Sounds like a bad switch or possibly ground connection, but I can't help as I have a S.Crew. You could try loosening and re-tightening any cable connections.

I have a '10 Scab as well and have had no problems like this. Every morning when i get in to go to work the temp is in the 20's. I would definitely let the dealer check it out, why not its free.

Can't speak for the OP, but on my behalf, I try to stay away from dealerships. They usually fix the problem, but for the most part they could care less about the care of your truck while they have it. I've had vehicles scratched, black fingerprints left all ove the interior, and one time picked a truck up to find cigarette ashes in the console. Manager says "I'll give you a free oil change." Right, like I want to bring my truck back to them.

WOW that is really bad! Hopefully you have a few different dealers to chose from in your area, if i ever had damage caused by the dealer i would make them replace or fix it immediately. I agree with you tho i dont trust dealers in doing anything the right way, i will only go there for warranty work nothing else.

Has this happened to you again lately? Did you find the problem? I just picked up my XLT Sat. and it's done this twice to me in the one week I've owned it. With my work schedule I have not been able to get to the dealer. I'm planning on stopping in tomorrow to see what they say.

I've had this happen to me also on my 2010 XLT SCab. I searched the web and the solution was to spray wd-40 in the open latch area. I did this and the next day the warning light went out. It hasn't happend since and the temps have been in the 20s. I don't know if this really fixed it but doesn't WD-40 fix everything?

Yeah, I talked to the dealer today and they told me to spray WD40 on it too. Mine went out after a few hours. I opened and closed the door quite a few times with no effect, so I said screw it and ignored the warning. Sometime later this morning I looked down and the warning was off.
The dealer said if the warning didn't stop they would look at it and probably replace the switch which is located in the door latch.
