My old F-150 had a voltmeter, which could be a handy gauge to have. My 2010 has replaced the voltmeter with the transmission temperature gauge, which given the horse trailer towing that I do, is probably of more use now than the voltmeter is.

I was looking at a 2011 F-150 brochure, extract below, and it says that a voltmeter is part of the standard instrument package. So I then thought that because I got the max trailer towing package, that the trans temp gauge replaced the voltmeter.

But when I looked in the owners manual, it doesn't mention the voltmeter at all, just the trans temp gauge.

So now I'm thinking that the sales brochure was never changed when the voltmeter was replaced.

Does anyone have a voltmeter??

My 2011 does not and wish it would especially because of the electric power steering

it in the brochure as the xl standard features maybe higher trim dont have it

AFAIK '09s and '10s do not have a voltmeter either...

WalMart has these for a decent price. I have one in my truck (plugs into the lighter) with adjustable viewing angle and it works great:

You bring up a great point/question.

In the 2011 brochure, the voltmeter is listed under Standard Features.

And, in the 2010 brochure, the voltmeter is listed under Standard Features.

And, in the 2009 brochure, the voltmeter is listed under Standard Features.

But no one can find it or see it. Another Ford F-150 quirk, just like the no driver side grab handle (whether you like one or not, why is it gone?)

Ive got a 2010 Lariat... no voltmeter here. Wish I had one though.

The really weird thing - on the 2011's with the LCD screen, there's a screen that says "Gauge Mode" and it just has another Transmission Temperature gauge.

I would like to know how many other gauges were originally in that screen that Ford removed because they were 'too confusing' or some other stupid reason - and if there's any way to add more gauges to it

On my list of things to do is to add a voltmeter where the electronic 4x4 shift slot is on my truck... since I have the floor shifter there is a nice little spot that is about the perfect size for an autometer gauge.

I do prefer the tranny temp to the voltmeter... but I'm also greedy and would like both
