Default Universal Garage Opener ADD-ON ??

I'm thinking of ordering a FX2 but Universal Garage Opener is NOT an option. Does anyone know if this feature can be added on ? Maybe an after market one ?

Yes, its $250 from Tasca but you can do it. The cheaper alternative is going to a u pull it yard or Ebay and grabbing the Homelink module in your color and taking visor apart to add it as it does have the provision for it.

I bought a module from fleebay and modded my visor - it works great and wasn't too difficult to do. I followed the how-to on another forum.

I must be searching incorrectly on ebay as I never seem to find any Ford modules for sale

I bought an auto dimming reaview mirror that had homelink on it a few years ago when I had an older vehicle without the auto dimming reaview mirror. It was around 400$ though, but it was also 5-6 years ago, lol! visors option looks to be much cheaper!

So any homelink module will work even if it is not Ford specific?

I think the brand of your actual garage door opener is more important than the brand of your vehicle.
