Default Vinyl Wrapping Chrome Bumpers

So I am thinking about wrapping my chrome bumpers. My truck is Oxford White and was wondering if anyone knows a good vinyl manufacturer who has a gloss white color to match. I keep going back and forth on if I want to kind of color match it or go with black either matt finish or gloss? I am choosing vinyl over paint since the bumpers takes on a lot of rocks and road salt so it will be chipped in no time. I was also contemplating on covering the roof in a gloss black vinyl as well, just the top of course to change it up a bit and since I have some pretty knarly chips in the roof that I had to touch up from ice chunks flying off tractor trailers on interstate. Let me know what you guy's think. Thanks in advance.

I know 3M makes a pretty close match for the Tux black so I'd look into them, honestly there are sooo many vinyl's out now I'm sure you will find some or someone to match it.

I got a quote of $250 to wrap my front and rear bumpers

Or I can buy a sheet of vinyl on amazon for $100 and try it myself and have enough to try 3 times. and still have lots left over to do things like door handles etc.

I did mine, they sucked in the corners. I got it right after two tries on the rear. You need a proper heat gun for sure and a ton of patience.

Did you do one or two pieces of vinyl for the front bumper?

Also be careful with a heat gun since it can burn through vinyl really easily...especially with cheaper vinyl.

that's why i like to use a hair dryer instead. You really gotta heat up and stretch vinyl for it to turn out right.

Hair drier was fine .............. until I got to the problem corners. Thats where it went sideways. Burned a hole, patched it, kept going, tore it, started over.

one, probably would have been more manageable with 2-3

I have an XLT, so I only did the chrome, not the black part under it.

Ugh, brings back bad memories. I remember spending hours trying to wrap a trunk and had it almost done and burned a hole in it, i think we just eventually gave up.

Have you considered plastidip? Or autodip which is vinyl based?
