I get that, too. I think that means your truck is doing everything fine, but Ford's side isn't. Trying again later eventually works. Or it could be the phone connection. You could shut both truck and phone down, start up and connect them again and try VHR again. Maybe make sure you have full cellular bars somewhere. It's like the tiniest problem will make it fail.

For a long time I couldn't get anything to work, not VHR or the website. Finally, after some unrelated work on the radio, it all started working again. I think maybe whatever soft reset occurred when they did the work helped out.

Disclaimer: I have a USA truck with SyncMFT, so a little different situation.

Chad, for VHR, I believe that you need the VHR section on the Ford Owner site to connect to. I do not believe that Ford owner accounts for Canadian truck have that section enabled.
So even though you fixed the truck to run VHR, there is nothing on the Ford Owner site to connect to, and it fails on that step.
To fix this, you will need someone that manages the Ford Owner site to create the missing VHR section for you in order to have a place to upload the VHR to. And from my experience with Ford Owner support, I can almost guaranty that it will probably never happen.

VHR section is available as an option for Canadian truck owners but when you try to open it you get the following message:
Vehicle Health Report is not available for your vehicle.
Vehicle Health Report varies by trim level and model year and is available in certain SYNC-equipped vehicles purchased in the United States. If you are a US vehicle owner and feel that you have received this message in error, please contact the Customer Relationship Center
Like I said in a previous post, I don't think we are really missing out on anything, but I honestly don't understand how this could not be the flip of a switch. Maybe the switch is hard to reach, but still.

I believe you are correct as the owner.ford.com site says the VHR isn't available for my vehicle. The IV Team probably has nothing to do with the owner.ford.com website so I would assume there is a disconnect.

It would be nice since there is such a large amount of used Canadian F150s that are being sold in the U.S. to have an easy way to be converted to U.S. Sync specs. I did the hard part which, at least I thought, by changing the APIM line code but in all actuality the biggest hurdle might be getting the owner website to recognize VHR as being available for my vehicle. Thanks soaringfalcon for crushing my hopes and dreams.

As a software tester, "crushing hopes and dreams" of developers is in my job description, so I should be getting a raise soon

But yes, I would think it would be a simple change on the site's administrator side, probably as simple as adding a VIN and a row to a Database table somewhere.

My guess is that there is some bureaucratic crap that is preventing it from happening, and we all know that bureaucracy is one of the strongest forces against change in the universe.

Of course. Even though the VIN is now registered to my address in the U.S. since I get the recall notices, etc. It would take a small army to get approval to add VHR to the webpage. I am only one person.

Update: So I chatted with the IV team through the owner.ford.com website and was basically told they had no way to force activate VHR or Sync services options for my VIN and referred me to the Customer Relations line. I called Customer Relations and I told them I had a lengthy chat with the IV team and the Rep said she would refer my issue to the IV team and that she had no way to activate it. Her only other recommendation was the dealer.

Unfortunately, I believe their response will be quite similar to the advice I have already received.

I know you have IDS but do you have access to the Ford site where you can hard flash the sync module? It's a subscription type deal where you can also access shop manuals, OASIS etc.... just like dealer tech access almost.

Screen shot...

Respectfully, they have helped me every time I've contacted them. OP, get with Joy at the IVTeam on the forum here.
