Vent air temp warmer than ambient

Vent air temp warmer than ambient
Howdy y'all, I know there are tons of AC threads but I didn't seem to find one about this.
When it's nice and cool outside and I don't want the compressor running, I just use the blower to suck cold air from outside. I'm noticing that the air coming thru the vents is much warmer than outside. I can't give an exact number as I don't have a thermometer on me. If I crack the windows (loud at hwy speeds) it's much colder than what's coming thru the vents.
My truck is the only vehicle that doesn't blow the same temp as what's outside. Am I the only one??

I have owned about 14 cars in the past 8 years I have been driving and they have all been the same way. Don't know why it does that lol I asked the same question.

Because it's not actually using the air from outside. The air that you're getting is just from the blower wheel spinning and creating the air, hence the warmer air.

OP are you on recirculating?

Its definitely not on recirc. Its probably the only flaw I've noticed in my truck. Granted, being in Texas means theres only a month or two out of the year that dont require full heat or cranking the compressor

I've found that if the vehicle sits in the sun for any period of time that the exterior cowl will get MUCH warmer than the ambient air temp'. *Doesn't help that the cowl cover is black.
Since this is where the air is drawn-in from, the resulting air that's put into the cab' is definitely warmer that the outside temp'.
And yes, cracking the window(s) will make a difference.
