+1 on the fibermax. Had it for 2 weeks so far. Looks great and no leaks.

Just go to auto garage accessories and search fibermax let me know if you can't find but that is all I would do. Bak has g2, hd and f1 and new fibermax so if you sort by bak you will have to scroll down

For those that care to know, I called BakFlip to ask where the FiberMax fit into their line-up and what the differences were. I expected the answer I got, but figured I'd share. The HD is an upgrade of the G2 like the F1 is an upgrade of the FiberMax. They came out with the FiberMax as a slightly cheaper version of the F1 for those that don't need all the extras. The F1 has slightly better seals than the FiberMax although I was told the Max was still about 95% watertight. The F1's is capable of handeling 400lbs, the Max is only 300lb's. As a comparison the HD is 300lbs, and the G2 is only 250lbs. I was also told the F1 will also be extending their warranty next month...

Again, these are all things I was told on the phone with BakFlip directly.

G2 is the cheapest model. Fibermax is newest. I am sure they are all good ones though

Did guy at Bak say why they are waiting to extend the warranty on the F1? Are the current ones inferior to the ones that will be introduced next month?

He didn't say why they are waiting, but he said next month. I just assume they decided to do it and picked a date.

For the F1 and Fibermax being different, yup. Not the same thing. The fibermax is a downgrade of the F1. Like I stated before, the two things I was told about are the seals and the weight limit going from the F1's 400lbs to the Fibermax's 300lbs. I'm guessing it's not as thick but can't verify.

I would be willing to bet that Bakflip has seen the Undercover Flex. To compete more directly with the price point they introduced the Fibermax. I would also be willing to bet that the comparisons of the Fibermax and Undercover flex are more similar, and the F1 is a bit better then either of these. This last little bit are what I'd place my money on, but I have no actual knowledge of it being true.

Either way, through everything I've found I think I've made my decision. If I decide to go the less expensive route because I can't see me using the full version I'll end up with the Fibermax. If I want to go the full blown version I'll end up with the F1.

I have the F1. I have been satisfied with it but last week I was in Houston and the truck had to sit outside during a pretty good storm. Ball gloves wet, shoes wet...not real happy about that. I need to get in there to see where it's leaking and see what can be done. Like I said though it was a pretty good down pour and I do not expect it to be waterproof. I'm going to see what I can do to help it be more weather resistant. All in all a great cover for my needs. I do wish they could make this style of a cover that you could lock and unlock from the top. Also, not having to make sure the cover is up to shut the tailgate would be nice. Check them both out, the Flex is probably a great cover as well, it was not out at the time of my purchase.

Edit...I have had the need to just leave one panel open but there are not any d-rings to secure the first panel like there is on the second if you have two panels open. FYI.
