Under the Hood LED MOD
Here it is the first pics are of the install and second set are in the dark. They are from my camera phone so please bare with.
Initially I was going to run the wire down the passenger side of the hood but couldnt find a place to place the switch. So I changed itto the passenger side. That being said I had already placed the LED strip in place. Luckily I had enough cable slack to make it all the way to the fuse panel.

I ran the cable under the hood liner and then down the hood hinge. I placed black duct tape to secure then zip tied it further down

Here you can see the zip tie and also I grounded the LED under the hood hinge for good contact. For added grounding I tinned the exposed wire then placed under the hood hinge.

I placed the switch where the OEM hood switch is. I couldnt find a extension to make contact with the hood. So I used a dry wall anchor and sanded it down to the exact height of the OEM switch and then the wall anchor slipped perfectly over the switch, where I went ahead and super glued it in place. I wish I would have painted the anchor black before super glueing. I also siliconed the bottom of the switch to make it weather proof and also will add a cup to it so you cant see the bottom of the switch

I used fuse #38 to have the constant 12v running to the switch. I used a "add a fuse" extension. I used what ever low amp fuse I had which you can see if a 5 and 2 amp fuse just in case, but really they serve no purpose other than to make the add a fuse work. Cause if you only add one fuse the system doesnt work.

I had to use a Dremel to sand down the edges of the "add a fuse" to have the top of the fuse panel to close correctly. It looks bad here but it really doenst look bad in person.

Here are the crappy night shots with NO FLASH on my phone

I did the same thing except I added them inside the engine cabin and used a regular flip switch. I have 4 LED strips and they have 5 or 6 lights each. I'll snap some pics when it gets dark here in a bit.
THANKS SCOTTSRED!!!
Yeah post some pics. I will probably add a switch later somewhere under the hood. I only used one strip of the ALPENA MAX LED, way brighter than two of the 24" regular LEDs

How long is yours? Looks similar to my lights except mine are only like 6" long.
Here are mine
1 Front
2 Pass. Side
3 Driver Side
4 Driver
5 Passenger
6 Daylight
I've cleaned up the wires, but now I need to clean the engine bay
