Anyone else think that's a little strange? Granted, I know nothing about jet engines, but it looked like when he took off, it looked like a regular truck with something in the bed.

But if real, it'd be cool.

I'd have to agree with you. Made a lot of noise but no way was that 2700 HP shoving that truck down the road!!!!

And when it started to accelerate the rear of the truck dove downwards just like a normal truck. I'd think if the jet was propelling it there would be no downward movement but actually an upward movement!!

You DO realize that similar gas turbines propel jet airliners (which weigh in excess of 230 metric tonnes) down a runway at 180km/hr. A single General Electric LM2500 gas turbine (bigger than this one, but not much) propels a CPF (Canadian Patrol Frigate - warship), which weighs in excess of 4400 tonnes, through the water in excess of 28 knots. So, yes, that single small GT, would have absolutely no problem what so ever propelling that 2.5 ton truck down the road at illegal speeds very quickly.
