Hope that helps...

Same thing I found with my 2011. It had the clips but you still couldn't remove it because those two "pins" or "legs" were soldered to the board. I did the same thing as you and cut them.

I've lived here since 94 but I can't say I know him. I'll ask around though maybe I can get the message to him.

Default Sweet trick

Great write up
The big thing for me is I didn't want to dig into my dash just for that but when I detail my truck with the radio on the chime drives me nuts.
Got on the good old YouTube and found this quick trick and
Works great for what I need!!!!

I just finished silencing mine. Came apart easy, went back together easy. Time well spent.

I'm rigging up a switch to turn off my speaker, don't want to **** it up entirely. It's a big deal to get to the backside of the circuitboard, you'd have to pull all 6 needles off the gauges, then reset them all at the proper angles. That would be no fun because they're stepper motors & there is no zero point.

OK found THIS ^^^^

xlttune / NastyFFX4 where did you guys find "the wires"? Or are you referring to the circuitboard traces to the speaker, & how did you get to them?

Got my dash all apart, gauges out, need INFO. TIA ! !
