No matter how hard I search, I just cannot find the answers to my questions on aftermarket exhausts for the 2009 F150. I figured I could start 1 master thread and hopefully it could become worthy of a sticky.

I am looking to put exhaust on my truck in the VERY near future. I don't wanna go in this blindly, so everyone post up your aftermarket setup, pics, sound clips, and videos if you have them. Links to threads you found helpful, and so on. Also any suggestions on Flowmaster vs. Magnaflow vs. Borla etc. Cat-back vs. custom piping etc.

If you are at all like me, you want to make sure this $500+ choice is going to be what you want before you spring for it.

my buddy, went to a local shop and had a Flowmaster Super 40 w/ custom piping and stainless tips installed for $360 + tax.

yeah my local shop said Flomaster 40 in one/out two with the piping and labor all for $250 plus whatever for tips.

That is the setup I am leaning towards, but I emailed Flowmaster today and they said their cat back kit for the 09 F150s will be out in 60-90 days. I'm kinda tempted to wait...but oh so anxious. Decisions decisions!

Wait for Corsa. Their workin on a cat-back. they make the best exhaust had it on my 07 yukon and im going to wait. No drone is very nice.

I agree on the Corsa setup, however it is mucho $$$$$$$$

I am a big fan of the Magnaflow line. Good stuff, good quality, not as heavy on the old wallet

Kinda leaning towards the Flowmaster Super 44. Now the question is single versus true dual.....hmmm?

I have some pics in my album but I got true dual exhaust for 320 + tax. Dual mangaflow mufflers and hid the tips by the side of the bed close to the bumper (look at pics I cant explain it)

I love it, and everyone else does too. I hate cab drone, and that is why I went with mangaflow. I love the sound when I give it gas. Nice deep meaty sound. As a buddy of mine said "your tuck sounds manly". He was sad because his 4 banger car sounded girlie. Anyway don't get a kit get it bent the way you want it, and I recommend true duals

From reading a lot of posts on three different forums, I had just about had it narrowed down to the FlowMaster Super 40. However, I just visited a local truck accessories store that sells them all, and asked the owner which they sell the most of, the FlowMaster or the MagnaFlow. He said he sells more of the Vortex Cherry Bombs than everything else put together...totally surprised me. Anybody know anything about them? I've never seen them mentioned in any of the forums. But, this guy sure sounded like he knew what he was talking about.

And, he said they have a computerized pipe bender that they just plug in the vehicle year and type and it will bend it to specifications. He also said it's way cheaper with any of them to just buy your muffler, or mufflers, and extensions...then let the shop bend the pipe to fit, instead of buying the entire FlowMaster, or MagaFlow, or whatever, kit. (as sig mentioned above) I didn't get a quote on the rest, but the Vortex Cherry Bomb he quoted me for everything installed at $225.

I really want true duals, but I just don't think there is room for it. The reg cab short bed gives u nothing to work with. The drivers side has the gas tank in the way, and the back has the spare. Not sure where they would have the room to route the piping=(
