Default New alternator time?

While taking my daughter to my mom's house for some grandma-grandaughter time(one week without a preteen=awesome) I noticed that my voltage is dropping below 13v when accelerating. The voltage comes back up when I brake or let off the skinny pedal. Has anyone else experienced this and can concur it is alternator time?

Well, voltage was back to normal on the drive to work today. I will have to keep an eye on it. I may put a charger on my battery tonight.

Get your battery load tested if it's the factory battery it could be bad. A bad battery can cause things to go weird.

Battery is about 6 months old. Diehard AGM. Truck starts like a champ. I was just in for an oil change and the service guy said the battery was a little "low". Not sure what that means. Maybe the alternator isn't charging efficiently.

Oh ok yeah could be. Alternator can be load tested in truck as well to see how close to amperage spec the output is at idle and while being rev'd up. It can show good voltage but not have any amps behind it to keep up.
