tuner question
What tuner should I buy for my truck ?
I have a 2013 fx4 5.0
Not sure if this matters for tuner decision but I have a roush Cai and cat back exhaust as well ..
I am looking for a little more noticeable power
Your help is appreciated

Okay
So I am happy I do not have to show my face to ask this embarrassing question .lol
I heard that sct is the way to go .. what I do not understand is " custom tunes " do I pick them or they just come with the tuner itself ?
And 5 star , mpt, ssi are the tunes I pick?
Sorry for my lack of vehicle performance knowledge

5 star and mpt are the custom tunes/tuners
SCT is the device you use to load them, the SCT comes with "canned" tunes which means they are tunes for every f150, custom tunes are made for your strategy code "custom" and perform much better since they are. If you buy the device from a custom tuner, which I suggest doing, you usually get 3 custom tunes or more with the device along with the canned tunes that come on the device

Custom tuning from a tuning company such as the three above, allow for tuning specific to your truck. I.e) you wouldn't want to same programming on a setup running 37s, 4.56 gears, long tubes, exhaust, etc as you would on a lowered stock truck. The tuner can further fine tune your setup by you data logging the truck and sending them that information. I for one prefer I slightly longer second gear to help keep my truck up on the power band running the bigger tires. Not to mention, more power.
