I had this same problem and the dealer contacted ford after they didn't know what to do, and ford told them to replace the trans cooler lines. I havent drove the truck that much since then, but its been quiet ever since.

Does this apply to 2013's as well? I've had this issue ever since I bought the truck in November of last year. It doesn't seem to hurt anything but it's loud enough that it's rather embarrassing...and I'd rather not run to the dealership again only to be told "Oh, it doesn't apply to your truck."

My truck is a 2013, so yes.

Made an appointment with the dealership, but I can see a potential issue coming now. LOL

The TSB states something along the lines of "...when so and so is done AFTER start up." I can just see them saying "Well, it happens after driving, not after startup, so that doesn't match the TSB and therefore we can't fix it, hee hee."

Will see what happens.

Let me know how the dealer trip goes, Kung. I'll be here to answer any public or private questions you have.

I've been experiencing the same sound on my 2014 Eco for months now. It has about 3300 miles on it now, I first took a video of it at around 2000 miles. I work for a dealership, so I understand needing to hear it to better understand before making a repair. The Ford dealer where I go obviously pointed that out, but mine is very intermittent. Any pointers on easily duplicating this for the dealer? I know folks say it sounds pretty common, but think of how many 100's of 1000's of these trucks there are out there...

I was never able to duplicate it on demand. The dealer just did the TSB that I took them and took my word for the sound it was making... Been silent ever since.

Will do. There are two dealers in my area; so if this one doesn't do anything, I'll use the other one (where I actually bought my truck). I also plan on trying to videotape the actual noise.

If THEY do nothing, then I'll let you know.

Trans cooler lines is juts a symptom, I have a noise and as the trans warms up it lessens but will still GROAN. Has been doing this almost from day 1 which was in Feb 2014. This is my page below
