I literally lol'd because I would throw up a little if I heard that too.

Well I got my truck back today. It turns out it was the valve body in the transmission. They replaced that, flushed the fluid and replaced the tranny filter I think? But she's back and she drives fine.

Good luck with your truck dude. Let us know what happens.

THAT! I don't let any of my techs except my old school guys do diffs cause its a PITA to get everything perfect. Good luck!

If I had my hands on it I would un plug the MAF sensor, It's not uncommon for these trucks. Not saying that's what it is but I'm a ford tech here in oklahoma, though I'd give my 2 cents

so it turns out that the converter had gone and there were metal shavings in the valve body blocking the fluid from going to where it needs to go. They put in a new valve body and a converter. They also flushed the fluid and "overhauled" the transmission.

I hope they got everything sorted out because this sucked. I don't know what overhauling the transmission means to them but I did drive it for 300 miles this weekend with no issues.

Got my truck back today after 27 days in shop. The replace all bearings in front axle twice, still was making growling sound in front axle. The replace actuators and solenoid and that solved problem. When ever they opened it up first time it was full of metal shavings, apparently it went was going in and out of 4x4 off and and on causing all sorts of issues. Just glad it's fixed and I am back on the road.

That's great news. What dealer did you go to?
I'm just north of Boston and have always gone to Stoneham Ford.
They've been excellent to me since 05 and the same way to my family before me.
Glad to hear about another dealer doing the right thing.
