The last company I worked for had wrap installed back in 1999 on a cargo van. They just removed most of the names/numbers (left some of the graphics for looks) this last year and there is no mismatched paint (from fading) or anything of the sorts. In fact, it looks almost new.

Don't forget about those scary *** razor blades possibly being ran across your brand new paint.
If you have any patients I would give it a go yourself. I don't think these trucks would be all to do since it's not a whole lot of rounded areas to it.

Whatever you do.. DON'T attempt to wrap ur truck urself if you have no experience.. the vinyl needs to be heated and stretched and trimmed in certain areas to get it to lay perfectly flat.. unless of course you want ur truck covered in creases and air bubbles then by all means have at it!

+1 to no issues with vinyl if done properly. key word kids, properly.
buddies shop does them all the time for local sheriffs offices, gets 3k-3.5k per full custom designed wrap.

And don't forget it you do a partial wrap or have the body color showing through, later on when you take it off you can sometimes still see where it was due to the sun fading the paint and the vinyl protecting wherever it is covering.
I saw this on an old car I bought that had vinyl graphic removed, you could tell where is was because that paint was not dull like the rest of the car.

There is a lot of negative hype about the vinyl wraps, if you go with a reputable brand (3m), you will not have any issues. The backing has an air release grid on it and is almost foolproof except for areas with compound curves, then its just a bit of practice and you will be fine. They even have a knifeless tape that has a filiment in it for cutting the vinyl so you dont have to take a blade to the vehicle area anymore. I did this install myself, it is the 3m 1080 black carbon fiber with the grill and valance in the 1080 brushed stainless steel vinyl. I ordered the vinyl online from a site that I use a lot and the material for this ran about $350. What you guys think?
