Default Truck won't start

Ok, I have a new 2009 F150, bought it about two months ago.. tonight i go to get in the truck to go to work, and the truck is beeping when I open the door like there is a key in the ignition.. the dash board lights are on and the radio is blinking at me and no key has been put in the ignition. When I do try to start it, nothing happens, no turn over nothing and the truck still beeps.. any thoughts?

Sounds like a trip to the dealer. If it was not broken into, and I would hope it had not, you got problems that need to be resolved even if you DO get it started.

My battery died the other day, and it was acting really strange. Not exactly like what you are describing but it really freaked me out. The radio would not turn on and it would cycle the cd's lights were on, and when I tried to start it I got a funky tipple click from the starter.

I would be hesitant to say your problem is the same without looking at it, but I will say that it was acting really strange when that happened to me. So that may be an issue that you can test.

Worst case, you are exactly where you are now, you have to tow it to the dealership.

I had this happen on my Dodge 3500. It was the Wireless Control Module. The truck would light up funny and not even turn over the starter. All I had to do then was disconnect the battery for a minute and reconnect it. It was fine after that. I had it fixed the first time. Cost $500. It happened a couple of more times, so I just disconnected the battery. I would guess it is a similar issue.

sounds like an ignition or anti theft issue

Default UPDATE on F150 that won't start

So the fantastic dealer that I purchased the truck out took out the alarrm and left some wires hanging which shorted out the truck.. funny how now I can't get anyone there to call me back... If you are in Southern California stay far, far far away from Sunrise Ford in Fontana... they have given me nothing but problems....

Thanks for all the input

any ford dealer should cover warranty issues.
