Truck squatting low when hauling
I installed a daystar leveling kit in the front of my 2010 FX4. The truck sits nice and level now but when I haul my wheeler, snowmobile, or a trailer the back end squats so low it looks pretty bad. When I drive down the road the front of my truck feels like a sail catching all the wind. I'm wondering what other guys have done to remedy this? Leveling blocks in the rear end, air bag system, add a leaf, or this timbren SES system in the attached picture are some options I'm aware of. Thanks in advance for all the help!

I'm even considering taking the leveling kit out completely, I've lost some gas mileage and a little bit of ride quality. The Goodyear duratracs might have something to do with that also. Kind of worried about something in the drivetrain breaking, no problems yet tho with about 20k miles since I put it in.

You've stumbled upon the reason why the truck is raked to begin with. Get some bigger rear blocks or an add a leaf. Add a leaf would help two fold. A little bit of lift and a stiffer spring.

I would add a block or add a leaf. I did the block myself. Also I added Rancho 9000 rear shock cuz the stocks a very soft and do help tremendously on the squat issue. Also to spend more of your money for you look at some good 10ply AT tires makes a world of difference. I have a 2012 FX4 crew

I've been thinking of added a 1.5" block, what stock a 1" block? I have a front levelling kit, I figure it might help a bit for towing if that doesn't help I'll do the add a leaf

Add a leaf. It's only $100 and will increase payload also

Don't stack blocks!!!! A 3" block in place of the stock one will get most of the factory rake back. I have Airlift bags as well, and use those to adjust rear ride height. I also replaced the stock SR/A tires with LT275/70/18 Silent Armors, to help with sway. Still not as good as an SuperDude, never will be, but now I can tow a 7X14 enclosed tandem to my liking.

The Timbrens are ok, for what they are. Maybe you want to look at the Roadmaster Active Suspension. It helps loaded and unloaded and is not too much more costly than the Timbrens. You can also fine tune the RAS depending on your application and how much sag you wish to prevent.
