Default Truck rolling forward

I backed into a parking spot in my '13 F150 and put it in park. The parking lot was pretty level, maybe a slight decline. I put the truck in park from reverse, turned the ignition off, opened my driver door, and I took my foot of the brake. The truck rolled forward about 1 foot. I stepped on the brake, looked at the gear indicator and gear shift to make sure it was in park. I took my foot of the brake and it rolled another foot. I started the truck, Put it in reverse, backed it back up and everything was fine. Anyone else have this issue?

Did you try and replicate this?

Yes, it did it twice. Then I put it in reverse and it was fine. I drove to a few other places before getting home and never any other issues. I back in everywhere I park and even park the truck on a steeper decline with the front facing downhill at home. And never had an issue.

I would stop by a dealer. U may have a trany or shift defect. One reason to use emergency brake until it is repaired.

I recommend getting your truck in to your dealership for diagnosis, OilFieldCash. What's its current mileage?

Thanks for following up, OilFieldCash. If you decide to have your dealership inspect, send me a PM with your info and I'll get your regional customer service manager involved. When writing, be sure to include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership.

I make it a habit to always use the parking brake.
