Well i may be finally getting somewhere with this truck, I'm dealing directly with the service manager now instead of the service writer, the last two service writers i was working with have both been **** canned. Anyway i got talking to the manager and found out some of his previous work history and he happened to know and work with two of my good friends at another dealer so maybe that will help make the guy want to solve my issue.
They are finally fixing the rear end noise that was previously "no issue found" i asked him if they heard the noise and his reply was " he had no problems hearing that noise" parts will be in for that tommorow.
on the dead truck issues they are going to replace the park detect switch, they talked to ford (dont know why they didnt previously?) and apparently that switch has been a problem on a few trucks in the past. supposedly if it doenst detect that the truck is in park the computers wont go to sleep??? i personally would think when the truck is turned off and they keys are removed that that would tell the stuff to shutdown not whether its in park or not, but if it fixes the issue i could really care less what make the stuff turn off. time will tell if this is really the fix or not??????? truck is supposed to be done wednesday.
oh and the colorado is one spooky ride, half the **** in the front end must be shot it wanders all over the road......

Last year my truck was having constant issues with randomly stalling, twice in an intersection, once when I was at school and had to get to an appointment fast. Truck would stall out and not turn back on unless I reset the battery. Not everyone has a socket set in their trucks at all times (I do now). I had it towed twice. Turns out it was the PCM relay, they replaced it once and it happened again about a few months ago. They replaced it again and it's been fine. Maybe there's something wrong with your truck's computer not shutting down correctly, and as an inverse effect it kills it's own battery. I should've known then to get rid of it and not get killed on trade value as much as I will now. Live and learn.
Anyway, this is probably irrelevant but I thought I'd say that I feel your pain. My truck, rdkev's truck and your truck are all POS's. Shame on Ford, my old 05 F-150 was the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned, some days I wish I'd kept it.

Do you keep it locked when it sits? I had a modern German luxury vehicle with the entry/exit systems and it too had a problem with battery drain over a few days if you didn’t lock the vehicle. I would keep it in my secured garage and didn’t feel a need to lock it. Had to do with the entertainment system and how the computer would remain running awaiting a restart when the car isn’t locked. Think of it as putting your laptop in “sleep” mode versus “hibernation”. Anyway, all I had to do was get into the habit of keeping the car locked when sitting and problem solved. Car locked and it goes to sleep – car unlocked and it’s waiting to start.
No idea if this would apply to the F150 (mine is always locked), but worth a try if it applies in your case.

No doubt you have a gremlin, but the good news is that it seems to be random, and not a common issue.
Still, it sucks that you are having these issues. No doubt that it's a loose connection somewhere in a relay or PCM or something. Going to be really hard to track down something this random. Didn't make it any less frustrating for you though.

I have the same issue with my truck changed battery. Then the changed parking sensor still nothing. The engineers said they think something in my garage is messing with it. Just six months old and in shop for 5 times. This guy called a lawyer and let them work it out.
