One of two thoughts:

Something is not happy in the top end or;

An exhaust leak at the bottom of the downpipe?

No, it's mechanical. I've heard it more than once with the hood up. It doesn't sound like something rattling, more like something grinding. Sounds lower down.

You'd put a Tundra over a 14 Silverado? Or 14 Ram? That's my order if Ford didn't exist. And I've driven them all now.
