Thanks for the support. This pile is going back in on Wednesday once again. Soon I'm going to have to start making poor financial decisions.

My truck was built on a Friday, as per the window sticker. Friday, August 26, 2011. The quality control guy probably ducked out early for the weekend.

That sucks. I recently found out that my truck was built on the exact same day as my GF's birthday. Guess which one is exactly 20 yrs older than the other? I must have traded up to the newer model.

I've been where you are with the constant issues, and while I hated it and swore to never get another Ford for a short period most of my issues were not resolved due to the poor dealership service around my area. This area has an oilfield boom, so essentially dealers are backed up for 2 months or more on service. The Ford Customer Service rep was as helpful as they could have been because essentially all they can do is call the dealer and express a concern for the customer unless an engineer needs to be present.

I actually jumped ship for around 6 months and kept watching for issues to be resolved and the response that was given on forums. I then decided to special order a truck to my specs and so far with 9000 miles the nightmare has not returned with my truck. There is simply not much competition out there that has the capability and features that the F150 does.

I want to trade-in so bad. At this point I'll take any interest rate I can get. But I won't get approved regardless, I'm in college. So, I either put up with this POS' problems for another 2 years like I've been doing since I owned it, or find another way. Maybe whoring.....Nah, at 5'11" and 245Lbs I fear I'm not cut out for that line of work..

Let's recap, I'm feeling nostalgic....and hateful.

....Can't believe I fell for the lies and dealt with this for 2 years. I guess I was caught up in the "new truck" mentality, now it's just a monumental PITA. Ford Service thinks that after I get my outstanding predicaments taken care of that my truck will be problem free for years to come. That is simply not the case, this heap will continue to irritate me. If I wanted another unreliable POS I would've kept my Chevy. Best part? My basic warranty will be gone by the end of this week.

My remote start has also been off and on since new regardless of hood switch adjustment, and I've been through 2 sets of rotors. I am SO DONE.

How'd you get approved for 44k in the first place?

I don't see how that's anyone else's business IMO. Financial situations change.

Mine was built on a Saturday according to the sticker...

At least the issues with your truck is mostly annoying noises. Mine has the same rear end noise, the same remote start not working all the time, and then to top it off it the being dead issues. its pretty sad to say that I would rather have your truck with its issues than mine with its issues

Hopefully you make out better getting your issues finally solved!

I've had my share of the truck being stone dead. It died in an intersection once, and it took 15 minutes to get it going again. Having 3 guys pushing a 5 month old truck (at the time) to the side of the road was downright ****ing EMBARRASSING. I missed a session at the shooting range one morning.

I've never had a dead battery like you, nor have I ever had a low battery, but the truck dying in the middle of the intersection in the middle of a major highway where cross-traffic doesn't have a stoplight is almost as bad. This truck has let me down far too much for Ford to blow me off like this.

did you have a tuner by any chance when its was dead? my duramax did the same thing like yours twice, but that was when I had a tuner on it.
