Yeah how crazy is it that he wants a feature of his truck to work!!! That's insane!!

@eye.surgeon Do think I'll have any problems with my mega suspension lift or my rocket truck tuner if I have to bring it in for warranty?

All joking aside many people will come in here and quote the Magnason warranty act saying the burden of proof is on Ford to prove the mod caused the issues/defect/malfunction. To the people that believe they can stand on their podium and quote this act, yeah good luck with that. You might be able to win it after a lengthy battle in smalls claim court but expect to cough up the repair money at the time if they think your mod caused it or take it to another dealer. Just a small reality check.

To the OP I do hope everything does work out in your favor and my mod rant was not really directed at your situation or anyone specific.

Then why waste your breath?

I for one am following this as I believe Canadian (and remember, this is a *CANADIAN* dealer) Ford Stores overstep their bounds when it comes to ignoring issues.

We don't have Magnuson-Moss. We have less protective legislation with these matters.

As for a "long list"? It's a list of piddily little sh*t that should work right in the first place. I do the same thing with *both* of my F-150's, did it with my VW Wagon, and my last Tacoma. It gets fixed right or it doesn't leave the shop.

FULL STOP.

Second, for the love of God, aftermarket mods like suspension lifts and tunes are grounds for voiding warranties of related parts, like hard shifts and steering rack issues.

In case anyone missed it, aftermarket mods like suspension lifts and tunes are grounds for voiding warranties of related parts, like hard shifts and steering rack issues.

But then again I realize I am wasting my time with this post.
Am I missing something or...? Borderline laughable? WTF is that supposed to mean? Am I ridiculous for wanting stuff to work?? I use the rear plug to charge my laptop. I'm on the road often and stop to check school discussions via WiFi hotspot. It's a feature that DOESN'T WORK and therefore I want it fixed. I just don't understand the off-colour response for a legitimate problem.

Secondly, there is no reason that a leveling strut should mess up my steering, which happened to be messed up long before I put a leveling strut on my truck. I have tried to have it fixed before.

I will say it again, My steering was messed up long before i put a leveling strut on my truck. I have tried to have it fixed before.

In case you missed it, My steering was messed up long before i put a leveling strut on my truck. I have tried to have it fixed before.

Oh, one more time. My steering was messed up long before I put a leveling strut on my truck. Miss anything?

Hey, don't kid. Check out this thread the guys warranty was denied because his mirror reflectors were tinted black. I've not followed the whole thread or the outcome but crazy things happen.

Hell, I'm surprised they fixed the speaker even though I had the door panel off to install tow mirrors. Seriously people, this isn't Alcatraz.

LoL yeah, some people don't have a ton faith in Ford Service that's all. Personally I've had nothing but good luck with my dealings and hopefully the same for you. I do feel bad for some people that have got the run around and by no fault of their own doing.

Alcatraz spelled backwards is Ford Service btw....err not really.
