Can't bring myself to switch brands. I just want a reliable version of my 2011 but with cool new stuff like MFT and butt coolers, Lol!
haha, great idea for a thread, though.

Following this, and hoping for the best. I don't understand though, how the same guy can say "tomorrow, we will investigate the noise from the front" and also say "your truck will be ready tomorrow". I really hope they take care of you, I'm just very skeptical. My last endeavor with a service advisor (albeit not a Ford one) was horrific. It was a handful of small issues, and it took 8 trips to the dealer to get it all sorted out. Hopefully they will handle your issues better, but mine was just throwing parts at the problem (a CEL caused by a EVAP leak) until it went away. Thankfully they backed down on charging me after the first visit when I told them if the solution was to throw parts at it until the problem was fixed, I could do that in my driveway for 1/3 of the cost (this was being done after warranty expired).

GOOD LUCK!

I agree with everything you said. They are terrible at lying and seem to enjoy doing it. I don't want some bullshit answer, I want the truth.

Well said. I am more skeptical this morning. I am close to the dealer but I drove a different vehicle to school this morning. I think when they call me to tell me the truck is ready I'm going to drive over there to make sure everything is good (The dealer lot has a rough gravel road part) before I drive home and get the cab voucher from my house.

Right now, I'll list off the things that need to be repaired.
  • Rear end CLICK. Link to video: Rear end snap

  • Steering rack knock/rattle. Link to video: Steering Knock

  • Transmission hard shifts

  • Air leak noise when accelerating lightly on the highway and occasionally upon cold startup. Link: Noise video 1Noise video 2

  • Driver's door speaker crackling/rattling

  • Rear 110v socket doesn't hold a plug

  • Oil change, tire rotation, alignment

I will keep this thread updated with progress and/or discrepancies, and what the resolution is. Stay tuned.

Really hope Ford pulls through for me.
LOL.

A couple suggestions. One, don't go to a dealer with a ridiculously long list of problems, some of which are borderline laughable (Rear 110v socket doesn't hold a plug? It's a standard socket, what you do want them to do?). You will automatically get labeled as impossible to satisfy. Second, for the love of God, aftermarket mods like suspension lifts and tunes are grounds for voiding warranties of related parts, like hard shifts and steering rack issues.

In case anyone missed it, aftermarket mods like suspension lifts and tunes are grounds for voiding warranties of related parts, like hard shifts and steering rack issues.

Again, aftermarket mods like suspension lifts and tunes are grounds for voiding warranties of related parts, like hard shifts and steering rack issues.

But then again I realize I am wasting my time with this post.

I cannot understand this thinking. A two year old truck, bought new, and trade it in on the same make?? Maybe if I could do it for no extra money, but that's the only way. That's the reason I'm in my F150 now, previous Chevy was having so many problems, I changed brands. Oh me, these issues drive us crazy!

Well Hard, I sure hope you get you PRESENT truck fixed right!

Wish I had the cash to pony up for a higher trim level when I got mine. All I got was the XLT with cloth.
