Truck is going in this afternoon, progress thread

This whole thread sounds sketchy... "Ford better warranty my heavily modified truck, or else!"
The entire tone of this is one of condemning the results before they are in. If the OP wasn't already of this mindset he wouldn't have started a thread to document the failure he's sure is about to happen.
I will say this... it makes for good entertainment. I always enjoy stories about kids with nice cars and a chip on their shoulder.

have you seen my mods? The only two things related to the chassis is tires (that are 5lbs lighter per tire than stock..Oh my god, imagine towing an 11,000lb trailer and screwing up the rear end!!) and an aftermarket strut assembly, installed by a dealer in California. Otherwise the truck is STOCK.
I would've started this thread even if I wasn't bitter about the whole situation. I have reason to be bitter, I've been screwed over enough with this truck. I am not some hood who has an attitude and a chip on his shoulder. If Ford fixes my truck, fantastic hey? I'll be happy and the forum will have a better impression of Ford customer service. I will then be thrilled about Ford customer service and I will have nothing but good things to say about them. Now if Ford refuses to take accountability for DEFECTIVE OEM EQUIPMENT that has plagued my truck since the second week I owned it (rattling steering), then potential buyers, current owners and those just simply interested in my situation deserve to know. YOU don't know anything because YOU don't know the full context of my situation vs Ford. I am not fully disclosing the entire context of this situation. Some of the interactions are between Ford and me. I am asking others to follow and stick around for the result. The final result if my pickup does not get fixed is to trade it for a new FX4. Is that unreasonable or rebellious?
I am not a "kid". I'm currently being college educated, shooting for a business degree with a career, and am carrying my own weight just fine. What's with people and their douchebag agenda? Jesus murphy! Amazing how pretentious people can get when they realize that somehow them being older makes me completely inferior and somehow still some rebellious teenager. Some people from Generation Y still work hard.
If anyone else chooses to crap on my thread I will ask for it to be closed and I will post the result in a new thread once everything is resolved. My intentions for this thread are obviously being misconstrued. Let's move on please.

Good luck getting it resolved. Hopefully they take care of it for you.
BTW, I'm 24 and some guys still look at me like I'm not worth their time when I'm at the dealer. Had a salesman do that to once, asked for a different salesman and bought a truck from him right in front of the other guy lol.

I am working close with a salesman and it won't be long before I may very well be an employee at a Ford dealer, part-time. It's going to help me with real-world, hands-on business knowledge, customer relations and I'll be able to teach some of the old-time salesmen a few things that they may have forgotten over the years. First rule of thumb, NEVER pre-judge a customer.

I'm back on my computer, so I can address this.

As for your mods, I thought I saw level kit, tires, and chip in your sig. Maybe I was wrong... or maybe you quickly changed it. I'll never know, and don't really care.

Sorry if I don't have the context... you forgot to post that, so naturally I can't know what I'm not able to read. My opinion about the tone of the thread stand... it reads like you are looking for a fight. I only bring it up because if the dealer senses this same dynamic, they are likely going to be less likely to help out.

Like I said before, I de-tuned months ago. My aftermarket struts were installed by a Ford dealer. Some Ford dealers specialize in the installation of leveling kits on new trucks. Do you really think Ford dealers would install them if they ruined the truck's steering? And I will say it yet again, these issues were present long before the mods.

That sucks your having all these issues. Only issue I've had in 2 years and over 25k miles is the sync system went out and they repaired it and provided a nice rental for free.
As far as the issues go the only one I could say they can blame on you would be any transmission issues due to the tune. My brother has a heavily modified 5.0 and he would complain about the tranny shifting hard with a tune. Honestly that one you can't blame anyone but yourself for changing the dynamics of the engine/tranny on purpose and it resulting in issues (it could have happened without a tune but if you play you pay sometimes). The rest sound like faulty parts though and hopefully you can get them fixed. Good luck with the services.
