Truck dies after fillup, but starts right back up

Been there, done that
I was having similar problems with my truck. I have an 09 XLT. It started stalling after I filled it up, then it was very difficult to start after refueling. I tried to use Heat in case there was water in my tank, but that didn't help. I finally took it to the dealer. They said they just had another truck with the same problem. I don't have the paperwork in front of me, but I believe it was a problem with a canister that has some kind of a purge valve. Basically it was causing the system to become vapor-locked, so the engine couldn't get fuel after filling up. The symptoms they look for are that the truck is difficult to start after refueling and there is an audible clicking noise in the engine compartment. They had a list of codes to check for (which mine had one) that would point to this problem. I just got it back and need to fill up again, but they felt that would fix the problem. I had the ESP through Ford, so I just paid the $100 deductible. They did say it took 3 days to get the part because it was out of stock, so they are thinking its becoming more common. I was out of town, so it didn't affect me. They said the TSB says it is occuring on 2009 and 2010 F150's and 2011 F250's. Hope this helps-
