Tremors are sitting on lots all over.... Dealers cant move em... They can be had for low 30s..... This is a no brainer imo....no one is paying close to sticker for tremors... Far as transmissions go id take that 6r80 ford over any other current offering period...

If you are considering adding performance upgrades, the tremor will offer 10 fold more aftermarket support not to mention mod for mod the tremor will always be faster.
That's kind of surprising to hear, I would think the 5.0 would get as much aftermarket support as the EcoBoost.

The biggest problem for me right now is any Ford I get will have to be transferred in so I'll lose a little bit of my negotiation leverage compared to a truck my dealership has had on the lot for ages. It sucks my local places are loaded up with 4x4 Tremors and 3.7l 2wd STX's.

Cheapest Tremor I have seen so far is at a Mullinax dealership about 2 hours away from me, they want $34,400+tt&t. They don't charge dealer fees there so that's a help. But still it's not *that* good of a deal. I might have to go argue with them over it once my headers get off my car and it's ready to be traded.

False. Maybe you've heard of a little car called the Mustang. It shares the same 5.0 engine as the trucks. I can think of 3 or 4 supercharger kits for the truck that will put the Tremor in its place.

STX RCSB 5.0 + Procharger = cheaper and faster than a Tremor

I agree, the 5.0 with a Supercharger would be a beast

Any reason I wouldn't buy a Tremor... yeah, it's a 40 thousand dollar regular cab.

Tremor + tune is faster than STX + Procharger

I was referring to his question referring to the ecoboost vs ram. There is just as much if not more support for the 5.0 then the ecoboost. I build mustangs every day for a living. Actually have 2 coyote engines apart right now. One made 950 rwhp previously, aiming for 1100 this time around. The other is a boss that has made over 800 and runs mid 9's in the 1/4. Looking for low 9's possibly 8's this time around. Having installed both prochargers and whipples on similar raptors, the whipple was much more fun to drive over the procharger truck.

Eco + tune =/= 600rwhp.

5.0 + ANY supercharger and decent tune = 600rwhp

I do not agree with your assertion.

I would love a Tremor 4x4 but the 5.0 has the aftermarket advantage right now.
