Can someone give me an idea why my transmission would be leaking from here. I am not to good with transmissions so any input would be appreciated. It's a 2011 5.0

Is it red like transmission fluid or does it look like engine oil. It could be a rear main seal on the engine.

Except the bulkhead connector is on the rear passenger side of the trans, and that is coming from the bellhousing.

Did you ever figure out what the cause?

I took it to my dealer they pulled it and said it was the transmission pump. It is still in the shop hopefully I have it back this wed.

Then you can become motor-man again. So pump is externally mounted, I thought it was inside the main fluid body.

So I got it back from the dealer today and it was not my transmission that was leaking. From what they told me it was coolant leaking from a hose on the back of the motor leaking onto the bell housing. I am kinda skeptical of that but it has not leaked since I have got it back. I will attach a picture of the comments from the dealer.

Nice to see follow up thanks. There was a post some where about a similar coolant leak; makes more sense than transmission pressure pump.

Yeah like I said I was skeptical that it was that, but has not leaked a drop since and I am glad it is not my transmission.
