Any reviews would be appreciated. Gas mileage differences and noticable power differences?

I traded up from the 2004 FX4 with 5.4 to a 2011 FX4 with the 5.0. The throttle response and smoothness of the 5.0 from the 5.4 is night and day!! I got about 13 mpg with the 5.4 and now I am getting about 16.5 - 17 average now and over 19 on the highway and it's not even broken in yet only 2200 miles on it. The 5.0 pulls much harder and accelerates so effortlessly I love this engine!!

I had a 2009 stx with 4.6 3v and traded it for a 2011 fx4 5.0, the 5.0 has a great deal more power, sounds better, and actually gets about 1-2 mpg more in my experience so far. I only have 1000 miles on the new truck so I'm optomistic mileage will improve a bit as it gets broken in. Im very happy i traded and would recommend it if you are considering it.

Thanks for the quick replies I have a dealer looking for a Sterling Supercrew Keep your reviews coming it will help convince me. My 2010 the dealer says will be a wash so no loss

I had a 2009 4.6L 3V 4X2 and now have a 2011 5.0L 4X4 and the difference in power is night and day. Gas mileage is also better and as others said about 1-2mpg. Transmission shifts far better and smoother i.e. no harsh shifts or clunking.

I upgraded from a 2010 XLT 4.6 to a 2011 5.0 FX4 and love it!! Best decision I've made. The 2011's are awesome and the 5.0 engine is so much better. Especially love it when towing my 26' trailer. Getting better MPG with
