the dealer here where i bought mine had 4 white 4x2 XL's, and 2 white 4x4 XL's. Depends on the dealer and if they have requests for them.

I bought one of the 4x2's.

Just looked and it seems to cost over $500, bit spendy for me.

Just curious, I have a 2009 FX4 and been thinking of changing my filter and tranny fluid.

Haven't looked yet but to pull the pan do you have to remove any crossmembers, etc?

I'd crawl under it but it's snowing and it's about a hour job to clear the garage out to get it inside.

Default Check plug

There is a dipstick, on all non heavy duty models 2011 and newer, it is a 19mm check plug located next to the cat on pass side. They have to be checked while running the nut is a cap for a small pan dipstick which has a&b for hot and cold. Caution if you check it because it seems to be low do not over tighten you can only have then replaced at the dealership. They charge for the plug an hour of labor and they usually top them off.

So I checked mine today, I let the temp (Transmission) warm up to 81... the picture shows the level..

Should I let the the temp get higher and recheck?

^ I'd say your low, at any temp. But, yes, I would drive it till normal operating temp is reached, then check it, make sure you're on level ground.

When I had to add to mine, I did it with it running, and only did 2-3 ozs at a time, until it got in range.

I had added a aux cooler to my truck.

Also, make sure the little dip stick is seated all the way down when you make your check.
