Trailer wiring diagram
Guys,
I used the search function but didn't see the trailer wiring diagram with the factory color codes or lists with them. I want to hard wire in the new White Night backup lights I received today and relocate the factory plug further off to the left for sake of clearance and to do that, I need to know the factory pinouts and wire colors.
All to say, please clue me in so I can achieve backup light nirvana like this guy!

Well bummer. On the cover it shows that I have positive on what should be a big fat orange wire but I've got nothing.
I have positive for the running lights (too small to run the backup lights) and I have power to trigger the reverse lights but i don't have huge power.
And unless I'm mistaken, 7 pin trailer thingies are supposed to have a 30A power for running "stuff" on the trailer.
Unless somebody can tell me what each wire/color code does, I think I'll pop over to either my dealer or a trailer joint to get clued in.
Worse case I run a fused 15A from positive on the battery but that is gay considering 7 pin harnesses have it already (at least I'm under the impression they are supposed to).
Any trailer geeks want to weigh in?
Edit: because I don't fail well, I finally broken down and RFD (read the directions). Tucked into the White Night box is a notice that the most common reason not to have 12v at the seven pin is because the relays and fuses are not installed from the factory.

I stink at failure.
After I discovered that the the reason I didn't have power on the 12V switched orange wire like i expected was because a stupid relay and fuse were not installed at the factory (relay position 9 and fuse position 21 in the fuse box under the hood directly above the radiator), it was child's play to wire up the White Night reverse lights.
The missing kit was glove box. I've never been in my glove box before. If yours is AWOL, here is the part number.
I grabbed switched power from orange, reverse from the center wire, and ground from the fat white wire and I was good-to-go. I then siliconed everything up and wrapped it well in 3M electrical tape.
And boom, the kit was installed.
And tested.
Mission accomplished.

Oh man dude, I'm wicked sorry. I was out with the wife last night when I saw your post, then I posted that pic. I almost posted, "hey make sure the relay and fuse are in" but I somehow just assumed you already did that.
Those should be installed at the factory, I don't know why they don't.
