Question Trailer Break Controler

I was wanting to get the factory break controller for the f150. I know I have seen that some people were trying to get this but I was not able to find it.

Can you just plug in the factory break controller box to the harness in the dash?
Does it need to be programed some how?

What are the options?

I believe you can have it dealer installed after the fact - then they have to activate it in the computer control unit somehow but that's about all I know. And it's "brake".

There is a significant amount of specific information available on the subject including the part number if utilizing the search feature of this forum.

Here's the thread that talks about it I think: https://www.f150forum.com/f38/brake-controller-16716/

And don't say "utilize" when you really just mean "use."

There should be a stickied FAQ post for questions like this that get asked a lot though.

Thank you statikuz. That is the exact thread that I was looking for. I don't know why I was not able to find it.

Forum search is pretty lame sometimes - then you feel stupid after you search and search and finally ask... then someone else finds it right off the bat.
