Question traction control light comes on in tight turns

I have a 2010 xlt with a 6 inch lift and 35x12.5 tires. I've been noticing when I'm going around tight corners or curves that my traction control light will come on during the turn and I can feel power loss for a second. My tires are not loosing traction that i am aware of being as I'm on pavement and am driving normal. Is this common with a lift and larger tire? It is very annoying, should I just install a toggle switch to keep my traction control off at all times so I don't have to worry about it anymore? Has anyone else experienced this?

Only time it happens for me is when the roads are slick from rain and I go into a curve, I feel the tires breaking traction for a split second then it kicks in and stops the wheel from spinning. Working as designed.

There is a lot of sand and grit on the roads here, maybe that is what is happening and I'm just not feeling it slip.

Default traction control light comes on in tight turns

I have 2 inch leveling kit with 35 and this happens a lot to me. It's just the truck is not designed to have that big of tire on it so even know that tires are not spinning the computer thinks it is because the speed difference is higher because of the bigger tires. I am a Ford Tech at a dealership so I was able to change the tire size in the computer to something closer to the real size it helped but did not fix it.

What do you have for suspension other than the lift. It could be the trailer sway kicking in from body roll.

IDS is a wonderful tool to have ain't it? Have my own and did the same thing, I don't think it's a speed difference because once you change the parameter in the pcm it is now calibrated to the different tire size.

I use to be a Ford tech at a dealer, 11 years worth. Flat rape pay sux, especially under warranty. The only time I liked warranty was when I had power stroke diesels come in, I made a killing repairing them.

I'm convinced the larger tires just make the system more susceptible to breaking loose, even more so when you throw a custom tune on top of it. I have a 4" lift on my truck and it had no affect than without the lift but the same tires. Only happens to me when accelerating from a stop going around a corner in the rain.

As far as lift all I know is that it's a 6" rough country suspension lift. Dealer installed after trade in as it was brand new when I bought the truck. Seems more like a body roll problem to me. The suspension is very tight and could be lifting rear tire off the ground for a split second going around corner.

Happened to my 2012. Turned out to be a faulty sensor of some sort in right front wheel assembly.

Mine did the same after I leveled it and put 35s on it. There is a tsb on it to be updated.
