Toyo Open Country A\T II
I'm getting some dry rotting on my pirellies at 15000 miles. Will the dealer pro rate them and give me any money? Has anyone had any experience with these tires? They look pretty agressive and Toyo puts a 50,000 mile warranty on them. They are even more agressive in person then the picture. I'm looking to put 305/55/r20 with a 2'' or 2.5'' level. What do ya'll think?

personal opinion? stay away from em. i had em on my ranger (different vehicle, i know) all they did was turn to a slick. they held in snow like you wouldnt believe and gave no traction at all. i used to slide around on wet pavement with them things.
i would try looking into some BFGs or Nittos. i hear alot of people talking about Goodyear Duratracs but i havent had the best of luck with Goodyear at all.
just for the heck of it, my dad had a set of Pirellies on his Excursion and they only lasted 30k miles. switched to BF Goodrich and hasnt looked back.

Tire warranty (if any) is provided by the tire manufacturer, not Ford or the dealer (unless you purchased some sort of extra coverage - if so read the fine print). You should have gotten a pamphlet with the tire manufacturers information. You would have to contact them regarding the issue.

Go with the Toyos if you want, i have heard many similar complaints to mine about the Toyos from multiple other people.
you cant go wrong with BF Goodrich or Nitto, two of your top tire manufacturers.

I have been looking at these myself with the BFG's but can't find anybody who stocks them in my town. I think it's funny someone said these are junk but the Nitto's are good. They are owned by the same company and if you look at the tread pattern are almost identical minus the side walls.

wasnt aware Nitto owned Toyo. i have heard many good things about Nitto whether or not they own Toyo, no personal experience with Nitto, however i have had experience with the Toyos.
