Stro

Thanks for the info. I haven't checked prices with Tasca but the other mirrors I could find prices for last night seemed very overpriced to me...just like Ford (and other manufacturers) does on all their parts.

I read about the **** temporary mirrors on another Ford truck forum last night and my try them at $50 for the pair. I don't tow that often and like the idea of being able to remove the bigger mirrors when not needed.

I recently purchased a 2010 F150 supercrew with a 4.6L 3V with the 6 speed tow/haul with a 9k limit and I have a 26ft travel trailer (4400K dry weight). This past weekend was the big trial run towing.
I hooked up my trailer first w/o the wd hitch and it towed fine. Then I just wanted to see how much it might improve. The wd hitch certainly did help.
Towing through a bunch of hills was a little tough. It did it though and I did find it shifted quite a bit with the 6 speed. Coming down hill the engine brake feature worked well but some of the time it shifted too low in my opinion and the rpms's where a bit high. I slightly touched the gas and it shifted into a higher gear. I won't even mention the gas mileage!!
All in all I think it worked well but a bit under powered. I was able to keep my speed up but not trying to push it too much because I love my truck. LOL
Other than the hills and they where steep 20 mph curves and so forth this truck tows great.
