Default Toughest grill guard

Been looking at grill guards for my ecoboost, what's the strongest grill guard out there I don't want to do a bumper replacement due to the intercooler so sticking with grill guard I have my eye on the tough country and frontier grill guard. Peacemaker bumpers has them listed on their website.

I had the same question as you about 6 months ago when I was researching about grill guards myself. After reading both this forum and many other truck forums, I concluded that the Ranch Hand grill guard is the toughest out there. I can't tell you how many accounts I read on various forums of people taking out a deer going 60mph and the ranch hand grill and truck being fine. Most of the other grill guards seemed to sustain much more damage during similar situations. Search around on google a bit of you are interested.

P.S. FWIW, based on this I ended up installing the ranch hand legend grill guard back in March and have been very pleased with it.

The frontier is by far the most appealing the ranch hand, tough country, frontier would all be about the exact same. Just comes down to money you want to spend.

I really like that Frontier the tubes look much bigger then most others, they all look kind of thin but that frontiers looks really heavy duty

I agree. I have the same picture saved. I have been thinking of either that brush guard or building a full replacement.

I been looking at them as well. Question I have is. How good does the hood open? Or does it stick out far from the truck?

My guess is it sticks out just enough to not interfere with the hood/grille but still be decently attractive !

Thanks I have emailed them to find out. Also to ask if they have winch mount and mount for lights. Thanks for answering my question.
