Cool Torsion Bar Lift

Is it possible to raise the torsion bars on a 2009 Ford 150 XLT just an inch or two?

Any pics from anyone who has done this?

It's not possible because these trucks don't have torsion bars.

What do Torsion bars do exactly always seen it mentioned on older models as a way to get extra lift with a "key" or something? But gives a crapy ride is it similar to adjusting preload on coilovers? Sorry I'm such a noob in this subject

It exactly like adjusting preload on coilovers.

Yeah from what I can see they act like spring, turning or cranking them can adjust ride height but also over set the travel and cause a harsh ride?

I'll attempt to answer it. The torsion bars have a hex shape on each end. They slide into the lower control arm on one end and a key on the other. The more you tighten the bolt below the key, the more it causes the bar to rotate. As it rotates it rolls the lower control arm down and stiffens up.

Oh that makes sense does the whole system run on spring and shocks as well or does the torsion bar replace anything?
