Default Atlas progressive leaf springs

Figure I would post on the subject as I never really found anything when I was looking. But I've been trying to improve the rear end ride of my truck since I lifted it 2 years ago. Tired different shocks with the gen 2 raptor shocks being the best for ride so far. But the problem was my springs were a little flat and I was riding on the overload most of the time. I was looking at doing a mini pack to replace the overload and run a block to get the height I needed , but after pricing out the mini pack/block combo , I said screw it and did a full 4" lift progressive spring pack from Atlas suspension, as it was only a few hundred more. All the reviews from guys running the mini vs the full replacement pack said just do the full pack as it rides the best and as not a bandaid for the stock leaf springs.

I also was shopping Alcan springs but got a great deal 20% off during Atlas's black Friday sale and ordered a set. They finally showed up on a pallet and in they went. Install wasn't to bad other then cutting the factory bolt on the front of the leaf springs and having to order 2 new ones from the deal before starting the install. My pack is a 7 leaf pack with 1/2 a leaf added to the front to eliminate axle wrap just like the Deaver springs. Ride height is .25" more with the springs vs my 4" block I had with the lift kit, but I think will settle right at 4" when all said and done.

Man the ride improvement is night and day! The rear is so soft and flexes great. My truck rides better now with load rage E tires and these springs , than a stock truck does with stock tires. The bumps and cracks in the road or speed bumps don't effect the ride anymore, not more bounce over stuff, it soaks it up like being in a luxury car now. Now the rear of my truck rides better then the front so I will have to address that now. But anyone looking to fix the crappy rear end ride of these trucks a full replacement leaf pack is the way to go, not cheap but well worth the money if ride is important. And for the guys who will say towing is affected, it is but you can add air bags .

Some Krylon on the frame rails and a set of fender liners will clean that up nicely.

I think I paid like 920 shipped with u bolts during their 20% off black Friday special. I also looked at Alcan springs and I think they were like 1150-1200 shipped with U bolts regular price.Shipping is a killer on these, as it was 225 for just shipping.

But I will say after having a set of progressive leaf springs vs stock or even my brothers stock 2018 raptor, I will put a set a set on a truck even paying full price. Best money spent on ride improvement by far! He's even looking at getting a set after seeing how nice my ride was vs his raptor.

Default Updates?

I’m looking at Atlas as a deaver alternative. Do you have any updates now that it’s been about a year since install? Any sag? Any issues?

I'd like to know as well. I don't really care about towing. I have only towed 3 times in 4 years. A 3500lb boat and trailer twice, and a 4500lb trailer once.
