Tool Box or NOT?

I am using the Rubbermaid tote idea as well
I have a backflip F1 cover and was considering their simple toolbox option but I find using a Rubbermaid tote and a portable toolbox really fit the bill nicely and I hold them in place with the Ford OEM foldable Bed Extender. This way I always have the flexibility of moving them or taking the out for extra room or to bring the tools to the worksite. I also bought an expansion bar for securing loads anywhere in the bed. I use a double ended steel hook to retrieve items in the bed without opening the cover. My stuff is secure, dry, and most important accessible. For my power tools I use Makita's storage bags which are also easy to manage while offering protection for cargo, easy access and transport. A fixed tool box means you have to climb up on the side or into the bed to get your stuff. If your tools a heavy lifting them over the side is a pain. I have not tried the side mount tool boxes that fit into the bed wall. They seem like a decent idea but if your truck is fully loaded I would hat to need to unload when you need a simple tool. I also keep a few essential universal type tools and tie downs under the seats. My truck stays squeaky clean inside and still gets the job done.
Has anyone here put LED lights under the bed rails? I am thinking of doing that and would like some recommendations or tips for installation. I am leaning to Recon at this point.

I like the concept of the BakBox but I'm told the quality could be better. And given I don't have a BAK product due to the leakage I am looking for a way to mount some kind of removable rubbermaid system under the cover so I can put some loose tools or jumper cables.

I have searched several post for pictures of trucks and there are very very few with tool boxes. What are you guys doing for storage if you don't have a tool box, Tonneau Cover??? I am asking for ideas, opinions, options, etc... Also if you have a SCrew with a tool box would you please post the picture? Thanks for your time and ideas. Have a Blessed Day!!

Bak box and cover
As for leaks mine is bone dry after many seriously heavy rains and washings using a powerful stream of water. No water anywhere in the bed. My guess is being water tight has to also do with installation and I also have the top of the line Bak F-1 cover.
Let us know what you decide.

His stuff was locked uder the tonneau, plus he could reposition his totes wherever he wanted to as the situation warranted. He could take both out as they are not permanently attached, and you could mix and match seasonal gear. EG: a winter kit that you could take out in spring and place in your garage for storage during the summer, possibly a towing kit, summer accessory kit and the list could go on! I may do this myself!
