why no love for the 5.0
i have noticed ever since the ecoboost and the 5.0 came out that noone was very interested in the 5.0 it has been all about the ecoboost from the torture test to the commercials on tv well my mom bought a 2012 ecoboost xlt 4x4 about 3 years ago almost has 40,000 miles on it and i love that truck runs smooth very powerful but the gas mileage is horrible im talking about 15 mpg average not impressed at all i just bought a 2014 5.0 stx sport 4x4 about 4 months ago and have about 9,000 miles on it and i love the truck very powerful great gas mileage i am getting 18.5 average mpg i love the truck i hear from many people saying that the gas mileage is bad on the ecoboost so why does alot of people put the 5.0 down like its bad and the ecoboost up like its the best thing invented since sliced bread?? no hate toward the ecoboost i am just wondering

It's just like the many other threads that have been locked. People want validation for what they spent their money on. Ford pushed the Eco because it was a totally new platform for Ford USA. They have other power plants in vehicles abroad, but the american market is still biased to the old school V8's. I got the vehicle I wanted, just as 99% of the people that own newer trucks did. It's just life, for better or worse.
